The biggest thing missing in the mod now, balance aside, is and will still be models.
Of all the "applicants" and people interested in helping out, about 1 or 2 has gotten back to me
All of the weapon models would -ideally- be replaced from scratch, or finished, which isn't ideal for many logistical reasons...
The next patch will perhaps see some new features, but alot of background stuff to help achieve more preceise weapon balancing that hl2dm is not capable of. __________________ Hi.

| DHL seems pretty dead right now, which is sad. I think any kind of content release would help people to know that the mod is still alive and keep intrest in the mod alive. A new map? 1 model? something! |

From time to time people are connecting to the servers to check out
the mod for the first time. I don't think it's dead. It's just the beginning ...

Hm, probably... feel free to buy them and convert them. (Alot of the ones i've seen are crap though, or way expensive.)
FPS banana is also a good hunting spot, you can msg modellers/animators/skinners who have the particular weapon we would need and ask them to re-compile it themselfs or share the source files.
Since the mod is out, they would have little reason to refuse, i've contacted a few of them before and got many,
"ohhh that would be great! Sure id love to!"
And then nothingness.
I'm really tired of chasing after people..
I think our modeller/animator used one of the most popular css hands rigs, so the only thing custom is the v_hands.tga, - i think - that would mean very little work required to recompile a model for dhl. maybe a few qc changes.
Even garry's mod was BOOMING with modellers/ and finished models of all sorts of weapons. Another free source of models if you have the time to hunt through and talk to people into sharing. __________________ Hi.

| Nah, the mod isn't dead. It looked like it was before the beta, and suddenly when it comes out, there are a lot of people interested in it, you know. |

I can't see why you can't just use the guns already with the source SDK i mean it's all of the CS:Source guns right? i'm sure those models will do for now. In my opinion the models are the last thing you should be worried about or working on for that matter. There are so many models on the Facepunch forums you could use and rig to your animations/skeletons. What's important is the movement and what animations you've put together and how fluid they are. I'm sure you can rig any model to those animations much like TS. I think most mods now days are trying to be 100% original in content and look which in a way somewhat puts the projects main ambition (to create an original experience) on the back burner. I'm not sure if im out of line here but what should be focused on is the way the games played not how it looks. __________________
