Just installed a major update to the forums, which should help defend some kinds of bot-registrations and such.

As precaution, I backed up the site and forums before hand as of about 7:25 ET.. so if there's any problems, let me know and I'll try my best to fix things, or at worst restore the backup.

There's a boatload of those accounts that need to be deleted.

I'm moving today, but once I'm settled in again I can try to figure out a script to search out the bots. They generally don't post, right? I was thinking of a ruleset something like:
* Has no posts
* URL is filled in

I'll probably generate a list and post it, if anyone on the list is legit they can come and tell me so (or make a post Wink

Many accounts to be deleted? Lol.

All this fuzz about guest-posting bots.

Could've just disable guest posting. :/

Turning off guest posting won't stop the 100-ish registered bots from posting.

There is far more then 100, but they never ever posted to start with. Which is why i dont give them the time of the day.

Personally i could go by just deleting anyone with 0 posts. Make a little warning post, make a post in the hello and your safe.
